"Counting Colors" is a book of poetry and drawings by Sonia Ruscoe. Presenting selections from over ten years' of notes, sketches, ideas, and finished works, this collection offers a nonlinear coming of age experience to the reader—an unstable archive of juvenalia commingled with mature poetics. Handmade in an edition of 75, the book unfolds dreamily to explore the ekphrasis involved in the life of one devoted to looking, and is illustrated loosely with Riso prints of paintings.
